Exoracing T25 Turbo Oil Drain Gasket Installation Guide:
If you want to learn how to install the oil drain gasket before ordering or have already bought one and want to install it as soon as possible, follow our step-by-step guide below. If you are unsure about any of the steps, please contact a professional, as incorrect installation can, in the worst case, cause turbocharger failure.
- First, ensure the turbocharger and surrounding parts are cool to the touch to reduce the risk of burns.
- Drain the oil from the engine to reduce the chance of oil spillage.
- Remove the two bolts holding the turbo oil drain line and flange to the turbocharger cartridge, then remove them.
- Remove the oil drain gasket and check it against the new one to ensure perfect fitment.
- Install everything in reverse order, remembering to torque everything according to factory specifications.
- Run the engine for a few minutes to check for leaks. If there are no leaks then run the engine though 3-4 heat cycles and go back and retorque the oil drain bolts.
