Exoracing Turbo Blanket V3

A four-layer turbo jacket for the hot side of a turbocharger, built with a carbon or titanium weave exterior, a silica insulation wool centre and a stainless steel wire mesh interior. It carries a working temperature of up to 1200°C / 2100°F and is offered in T25, T3 and T4 sizes to suit the turbo frame size and turbine housing measurements.

• Three sizes: T25 at roughly 17in inner circumference and 2.25in inner width, T3 at roughly 19in and 3.0in, and T4 at roughly 22in and 3.5in.
• Helps contain heat at the turbocharger hot side, which reduces radiant heat around the turbo, and helps protect hoses, wiring, paintwork, intake pipework and nearby fluid lines.
• Keeping more heat inside the turbine housing can help the turbo system behave more consistently during repeated pulls, long sessions or high load use.
• Supplied as one blanket with two stainless steel spring fasteners; stainless steel hook anchors and the fasteners hold it around the turbine housing.

• Can be used on many V-band turbo setups, though the fit may not hug the housing as tightly as a traditional flanged turbocharger
• Light smoke during the first few heat cycles can be normal as moisture and manufacturing residue burn off; if smoke is heavy, smells of oil or fuel, or does not stop, switch the car off and inspect the area
• The main fire risk comes from contamination such as oil, fuel, coolant, power steering fluid or other flammable liquids soaking into the blanket
• Must not be fitted over damaged, leaking or unsafe turbo setups
• A blanket that is too small may not cover the turbine housing properly, while one that is too large can sit loose and move around once the car is running

• Leak-free setup required: Must only be fitted to a clean, leak-free turbo setup; check for oil, fuel, coolant or power steering fluid leaks before installation
• Fitting method: Fits over the turbine housing of the turbocharger and secures using the supplied stainless steel spring fasteners
• Fit when cold: Install only when the turbocharger is completely cold
• Wear gloves: Gloves should be worn to help prevent skin irritation from heat-resistant fibres
• Do not cover: Must not cover actuator arms, wastegate linkages, compressor housings or moving parts
• Fit to hot side: Place the blanket over the hot side of the turbo, not the compressor side
• Recheck after heat cycle: Recheck the blanket and spring fasteners after the first heat cycle once everything has cooled
• Installation difficulty: Beginner-friendly if access is good; some engine bays may require intake pipework, heat shields or brackets to be moved for better access
• Professional installation: Professional installation is recommended if access is poor or the fitter is not confident working around turbo components
• Measure before ordering: The turbine housing should be measured before ordering so the blanket sits snugly without being forced or left loose
