Exoracing Titanium or Carbon Exhaust Wrap

A titanium basalt fibre exhaust heat wrap sold by the roll, cut to length to suit exhaust manifolds, turbo manifolds, downpipes, screamer pipes and other hot exhaust sections. It withstands continuous temperatures up to 980°C and intermittent temperatures up to 1350°C, and comes in titanium or carbon colour with a choice of two widths and three lengths.

• Titanium basalt fibre construction rated for continuous temperatures up to 980°C and intermittent peaks up to 1350°C.
• The 5cm width suits most exhaust pipes, downpipes, larger manifold runners and straighter sections, and covers more area per wrap.
• The 2.5cm width suits tighter bends, smaller runners, awkward manifolds and tight collector areas where a wider wrap is hard to pull neatly around the pipe.
• Designed to reduce radiant heat from hot exhaust parts and help protect nearby hoses, wiring, paint, brake lines, fuel lines and engine bay components.
• Each order is one roll of Exoracing exhaust wrap with four stainless steel cable ties, in your choice of titanium or carbon colour.

Check before you order

• Measure the pipe or manifold before ordering and allow extra wrap for overlap, bends and mistakes
• The wrap should not be reused after it has been heat-cycled and removed
• Smoke after the first fitting is normal during the first heat cycles

Fitting notes from Exoracing

• Skin irritation: Gloves should be worn when handling the wrap, as fibreglass / basalt-based wrap can irritate skin
• Protective equipment: Gloves and eye protection should be worn before handling the wrap
• Preparation: Removing the exhaust part from the car usually gives the cleanest result, and the pipe, manifold or downpipe should be cleaned before wrapping
• Wetting the wrap: Wet the wrap with water to make it more flexible and easier to pull tight
• Starting the wrap: Start with a 45-degree fold at the end of the wrap to reduce fraying
• Overlap: Wrap tightly around the pipe with a consistent 10mm to 20mm overlap
• Securing: Stainless steel cable ties secure the start and end points, and excess tie length should be trimmed so there are no sharp edges
• After fitting: After fitting, run the vehicle and allow the wrap to smoke through the first heat cycles
• Installation difficulty: Simple to moderate DIY item depending on access; manifolds with tight runners take longer than straight downpipes
• Professional installation: Professional installation is recommended if access is poor or the exhaust part is difficult to remove safely
• Areas not to wrap: Do not wrap flexi joints, sensors, slip joints, clamps that need future access, or areas where trapped moisture cannot burn off properly
• Extra cable ties: Extra stainless steel cable ties are advised for manifolds, multiple runners or long sections
