Exoracing Titanium Alternator Bolt Kit K-Series K20 K24

Q: Will this kit fit my K-Series engine?

The kit is specified to fit Honda K-Series alternators, excluding the k24a3 and the FD2 K20A. Check your engine code against that specification before ordering, as fitment is defined by the alternator on your K-Series engine rather than by model year.

Q: What is in the kit and how much does it weigh?

You get 3 x Exoracing titanium hex head Grade 5 bolts, and the kit weight is 47g in total.

Q: What are the bolts made from and what do they replace?

They are made from Ti-6AL-4V (Grade 5) titanium alloy, described as aircraft-grade and noted for its strength-to-weight ratio, and are offered as a replacement for Grade 8.8 steel fasteners. The claimed weight saving is approximately 45% against equivalent steel bolts.

Description

A three-bolt titanium fastener set for Honda K-Series alternators, made from Ti-6AL-4V (Grade 5) titanium alloy with hex heads. The complete kit weighs 47g, and the fasteners are forged with rolled threads. Intended for K20 and K24 builds where the standard steel alternator bolts are being replaced.

Supplied as 3 x Exoracing titanium hex head Grade 5 bolts, made from Ti-6AL-4V titanium alloy.
Total kit weight is 47g, with a claimed weight saving of approximately 45% compared with equivalent steel bolts.
Fasteners are forged and the threads are formed by a rolling process, which is claimed to increase fatigue resistance and reduce the risk of galling during fastening.
Offered as a replacement for Grade 8.8 steel fasteners, in an alloy described as aircraft-grade and noted for its strength-to-weight ratio.
Titanium is highly corrosion resistant to aggressive chemicals, for a longer service life than standard BZP steel bolts.
