Our Exoracing self-aligning V-band clamps are a highly efficient solution for fabricators who require a robust and leak-free method for building exhaust, intercooler, intake, and turbo systems.
Traditional exhaust or turbo piping methods are joined with two flanges, a gasket, and bolts, which is very inefficient and requires replacing the gaskets and/or bolts every time they are removed.
V-Band clamps completely solve this as the flanges act as the gasket, which will never need to be replaced. The fact that they are self-aligning is another bonus: You never need to worry about the flanges being off-centre or leaking.

Exoracing V-Band Clamp Installation Guide:
Although we would always recommend using a professional for welding, if you are a competent welder, these are the steps you would need to follow to install a V-Band clamp:
- First, you will want to ensure you have purchased the correct ID of the clamp by offering up a flange against the pipe you wish to weld it to. Once you are happy that they are the same inside diameter and offer the highest exhaust flow, you can move on to step 2.
- Ensure both the pipes you are welding to are stainless steel and are clean, and free from rust or other contaminants.
- Weld the male flange to one pipe and the female flange to another.
- Remove the locking nut from the V-band clamp and place it over both flanges, ensuring they align correctly. There are lips on both flanges, so you will feel as soon as they lock together.
- Close the clamp and tighten the locking nut, ensuring it is in the correct orientation so it does not rub against any other components.
