A ten-piece silicone coolant hose kit for the D-series Civic, made from 4-ply polyester-reinforced silicone with a 4.5mm wall. Rated to 85 PSI working and 245 PSI burst pressure, with an operating range of -60°C to 260°C, and supplied with a 304 stainless steel worm drive clamp kit.

• Ten reinforced silicone hoses in 4-ply polyester-reinforced silicone with a 4.5mm wall thickness.
• Rated at 85 PSI working pressure and 245 PSI burst pressure, with an operating temperature range of -60°C to 260°C.
• Black outer finish over a purple inner layer, which is said to give a clean engine bay finish and add resistance to heat, UV, water and ageing.
• Includes a 304 grade stainless steel worm drive clamp kit, so old coolant hose clamps do not need to be reused.
• Intended to replace ageing coolant hoses with reinforced silicone, described as a reliability upgrade for road cars, track cars, turbo D-series builds and restored EG/EK Civic engine bays.

Fitting notes from Exoracing

• Fitting conditions: Install while the engine is cold and the coolant system is drained
• Clamp tightening: Each hose must be fully seated on the pipe neck before tightening the supplied clamp, and clamps must not be over-tightened as excessive clamp force can damage silicone hoses
• After fitting: Refill and bleed the cooling system fully, run the engine up to temperature, check for leaks and recheck the coolant level once the engine cools
• Installation difficulty: Moderate DIY; professional installation is recommended for those not confident in draining and bleeding a cooling system
• Best time to fit: Best fitted while draining coolant, replacing the radiator, doing engine-bay maintenance, or refreshing an older D-series cooling system
