Exoracing Magnetic Sump Plug Installation Guide:
Our Exoracing magnetic sump plugs are very simple and easy to install; follow our guide below for the best practices:
- Firstly, you will want to ensure the engine oil is warm but not hot, as this will allow you to remove the most oil and contaminants possible.
- Jack or lift the car, using a ramp or trolley jack, making sure to use axle stands for safety.
- Remove the old sump plug and drain the excess oil into a pan or drainage container. Also, remove the oil filter simultaneously, as you may change this while you're here.
- Once all the old oil has been drained, install a brand new oil filter and the new magnetic sump plug, making sure to use the newly supplied crush washer.
- Torque the magnetic drain plug to 15 ft/lb, remove the axle stands and lower the car back down.
- Fill the engine to the correct line using brand-new oil, and let the car run for a few minutes.
- Recheck the oil level and ensure no leaks from the oil filter or magnetic sump plug.

- Please use a brand new crush washer when removing a sump plug to ensure no leakage.
- Torque to 15 Ft/Lb.
