Rotor Condition
- Ensuring rotors are in near-perfect flat condition is crucial, as uneven, grooved, or ribbed surfaces can triple bed-in times for both street and track use.
- EBC Yellowstuff is a harder, more durable pad, requiring smooth rotors for optimal performance.
- If resurfacing is needed, EBC strongly recommends using high-quality ON-CAR brake lathes from Pro-Cut for the best results.

Pad Lifetime
- Track Use: Inspect pads every 30 laps and replace them when the friction material reaches 3mm (1/8 inch) to prevent brake fade.
- Street Use: Expect a significantly longer lifespan—20,000 miles or more, even under aggressive driving conditions.

Cooling & Caliper Drag
- Simply installing a race pad does not instantly make a street brake system track-ready.
- Additional cooling ducts may be necessary to prevent excessive heat buildup and extend pad and rotor life during racing conditions.

With a quick bed-in process and a medium-plus lifespan, it is an ideal choice for track days and competitive racing. This compound has been a trusted option in the BMW Cup Series for several seasons.
For lighter vehicles, pairing the B version on the rear axle—offering slightly lower friction—with NDX on the front can help optimize brake balance for improved control.
