CSF All-Aluminium Radiator for BMW E39 M5 & 540i

A two-row all-aluminium radiator for the BMW E39 M5 and 540i. It is designed for the manual gearbox, and CSF give what the automatic 540i and early (pre-09/1998) cars need: see the notes before ordering. The core uses CSF's B-Tube design, each tube shaped like a 'B' and brazed along its seam, with 6.5 mm multi-louvred fins, and the quick-connect inlet and outlet are CNC-machined.

Check before you order

• 540i built before 09/1998: these use slip-on hose connections. To take this radiator (quick-connect) they need BMW's later water pump 11510393336, thermostat housing 11531436386, overflow hose 11531711377 and radiator hoses 11537505229 (lower) and 11537505228 (upper, with its alternator-cooling outlet capped).
• Made for the manual gearbox. Automatic 540i built before 09/1998 take it as it is; automatics built after 09/1998 need the left-hand drain plug changed for an AN6 (9/16-18 UNF) hose fitting to connect the gearbox oil cooler - measure your hose first.

Fitting notes

• Drop-in fit: no modifications, using the original hoses, brackets and fan shroud
• Inlet and outlet match the original connections, so the original or aftermarket hoses fit
