AP Racing CP5088-1 Handbrake Shuttle Valve

A shuttle valve that feeds two hydraulic inputs into one output, at the pressure of the larger input. Its typical use is to separate a hydraulic handbrake from the foot brake system; the foot brake and handbrake master cylinders must then be fed from a common reservoir.

• Two hydraulic inputs into one output, at the pressure of the larger input
• Typically used to separate a hydraulic handbrake from the foot brake system
• M10 x 1.0 threads on all 3 ports
• Aluminium body, 55g

Check before you order

• The foot brake and handbrake master cylinders must be fed from a common reservoir
• Not for parking: with the brake applied from one source the valve's pressure decays by about 6 bar over 10 minutes, so it should not be used to park the car unattended for long periods

Fitting notes

• AP Racing say brake parts should only be fitted by people experienced in fitting disc brake systems.
