Upgrading Your BMW M4

The M4 platform has one of the strongest aftermarkets of any modern performance car. Both the S55 and S58 engines respond well to intake and exhaust upgrades, the suspension geometry gives good scope for track-focused tuning, and the exterior proportions suit carbon fibre aero particularly well.

• F82 (2014 to 2020) twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre S55 straight-six, 425bhp in standard Competition trim, widely regarded as one of the purest M cars of its era
• G82 (2021 onwards) twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre S58 straight-six, 503bhp in Competition trim, also available as M4 CSL and M4 CS in higher states of tune
